For those of you seeing the pledges in anything but GBP the current amount might not seem anything special, but for us over here in the UK it shows us having just broken £60,000, which means we're 3x above our initial goal! This is an incredible achievement for the project and is quickly bringing us towards out next stretch goal... Can we make it in time?

The Aisha the Glowskater playmat appears to be just as popular as we thought it would be, so that makes this a good time to let you know another piece by the same artist is currently in the works! Mirumey's cards have been popular with all of you, so we thought we'd show off the early sketch for her latest piece.

This card will be the first to be illustrated from the cycle of Songstresses, one of which will feature in each attribute. Knowing what you do so far about each attribute, can you guess which one this lovely chiroptera will belong to?

We'll have more information about the post-campaign pledge manager for you all tomorrow, since we've had a few messages about these past couple of days. Until then, take care of yourselves!

As of a few hours ago, the new playmat stretch goal was unlocked! Dream Archive Bibliosoph and Aisha the Glowskater are now available as playmat add-ons, alongside the 4 main Assistant Mayors!

There is also still 1 Creator Tier slot left for anyone out there who may be still considering it. If you're interested and have any questions about it, our messages are open!

The last little tidbit for tonight is that 2lainz over at the Card Game Crypt has done a How to Play video which is well worth a watch! Very much a change of pace from our own, with a lot of the channel's signature humour and style.

One week to go, new add-ons now available!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's hard to believe that we're only 1 week away from the end of the Kickstarter, it feels like it's gone so quickly! We'd like to thank you for all of the support you've given us, all the questions you've asked us, all the games you've been playing, and everything else that has helped us get past 250% of our funding goal!

Since the last update we actually spent a weekend at a UK convention playing Animal Kingdom with people, meeting folks from our discord, and handing out promo Assistant Mayors to anyone who came to see our stand. Thank you to everybody who came to speak to us, and doubly so for those of you who have since come here to support it!

Which brings us to today's updates. We've made a small edit to the Apotheosis tier. It now comes with 10 hero packs on top of the other bits, as we'd had feedback that the extras over the previous tier weren't as alluring as other tiers. Hopefully this helps anybody who was thinking about backing that tier.

As promised Non-Holo Uncut Print Sheets are now available in the add-ons! We want the holofoil ones to be truly exclusive so they're only going to be available to the biggest backers, and through giveaways/competitions that we run after the Kickstarter winds down.

Counter Sets will be added in the next day or two. I only managed to get my hands on a set of the coloured counters a couple of days ago, and am just in the process of finalising the costs for them. They're really nice pieces, and although my camera/lighting doesn't do them the best justice I hope that you can still see how cool they are! Each set will be enough for 1 player, and will contain the same selection of counters seen in the photo of the wooden ones in the last update

Pledge Manager! Once the campaign has concluded you'll be given an additional few weeks to edit your pledge and select your add-ons through Backerkit's Pledge Manager! This will be available for anyone who has backed the project (even if only for £1), and all add-ons purchased this way will still be 1st edition boxes. Hero Packs will also still be available through the Pledge Manager. 

And that about wraps it up for this update. I'll be writing another once the counter add-ons are ready, until then take care of yourselves!

Good evening everyone! 

Thanks to all of you the Kickstarter campaign has steadily ticking up, and we've now surpassed 200 backers, which is absolutely fantastic news! We're thrilled to be able to say we have literally hundreds of people looking forward to getting their hands on Animal Kingdom.

Firstly, if you're not in the Discord server yet may I invite you to come and join us? It's the main place for discussion, information and gameplay related to Animal Kingdom. Every Saturday evening (GMT) we hold a How to Play session on the server using Tabletop Simulator. You can find the download link for the TTS module in the ⁠important-info channel in the Discord server, and if you don't have TTS you may find that people stream it for the server to see, so you can at least watch a game.

In the coming days we'll be making a few extra add-ons available here on Kickstarter. The first of these will be the uncut non-holo sheets. For those of you unfamiliar with uncut sheets, they're a 5x11 sheet of cards straight from the printer, uncut and in one single piece. You can't play with them, but they make for awesome display collectibles when framed up.   

The other addition will be sets of counters. There are a lot of things in Animal Kingdom which you can use counters to represent, and we'll be offering laser-cut sets to those of you who want to track your gamestate in style! There'll be plastic and MDF sets available and you can see the designs for each counter in the picture at the bottom of the post. The add-on will go live in a couple of days when I have a fully cut plastic set to show off too.  

That about concludes this mid-campaign update! We're still well on our way to that next stretch goal, and I've no doubt that we'll manage to get there before the campaign ends. There's still one Create a Card slot up for grabs, so if you're considering getting your own character into the game on a card that you help design, don't hesitate for too much longer!

Stretch Goal 2 has been hit!

Good evening all!

Exciting news! Just a little bit earlier today we passed the 2nd Stretch Goal, so in addition to your pledges you'll all be getting: 

• 1x Hero Pack
• 1x Extra Promo card (to be revealed later in the campaign!)

The next target will unlock additional Playmat add-on options, so if you know people who might be interested in the game lure them into a game so they can find out first-hand how fun it is!

We've had a lot of positive feedback about the How to Play video, and for those of you who want to put what you've been taught into practice, we're holding a game night on Tabletop Simulator on Saturday evening! Hop into our Discord server, take a peek at the current event details, and join in if you want to play with the team! If you don't have Tabletop Simulator, people sometimes like to stream their games so you may still be able to experience a game as a spectator :)

Additionally, we've had some of you asking us about the Patreon. We produced a bunch of pre-production test cards that we've been making available to Patrons on the run-up to this campaign. Due to popular demand we extended it to run for one more month, so if you do want to get your hands on some of those, all the details can be found right here on our Patreon page. It'll be pausing at the end of the month, so this'll be your last chance to grab any!
